SHARON BRECKENRIDGE THOMAS
Gov. Greg Abbott appointed Sharon Breckenridge Thomas of San Antonio to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement for a term to expire August 2021. The commission ensures Texans are served by highly trained and ethical law enforcement and corrections personnel through screening, developing and monitoring resources, reviewing disciplinary matters and setting standards.
Thomas is an attorney in private practice. She is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Thomas is a former member of the Board of Trustees at St. Mary’s University and past President of the St. Mary’s University School of Law Alumni Association. She served 15 years as a civilian J.A.G. attorney with the U.S. Air Force. Thomas has taught as a Visiting Law Professor at the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General School (Dickinson Law Center) and Liberty University School of Law.
Thomas received her bachelor's degree and law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law, San Antonio, Texas.
