Advisory Committees

Licensee Wellness

The Licensee Wellness Advisory Committee is charged with identifying forms of notification and information that TCOLE receives that may be indicative of a licensee who is struggling at work or at home, and to connect that licensee to appropriate resources and support.  The ultimate goal is to supplement and reinforce existing agency support structures by identifying licensees in need and connecting them to the right resources at the right time to preempt conduct that could result in discipline by their appointing agency or TCOLE license action.  The committee is not charged with establishing physical fitness standards nor developing new ways to reactively address mental health and wellness issues.

The committee will submit a report of their proposed findings and recommendations no later than May 1, 2025, for consideration by the TCOLE Commissioners at the June 12, 2025 Commission Meeting.
