Brian Roth, Director
Brian has served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement since 2006. He began public service and his career at TCOLE as an Accountant in 2002. In his role as CFO, Brian oversees the responsibilities of strategic planning and budgeting, human resource functions, payroll, employee benefits, fiscal management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, facilities management and security, risk management, internal audit coordination, asset acquisition and management, travel, procurement and supply, grants management, as well as financial and performance reporting. Prior to joining TCOLE, Brian held roles in the pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries.
Brian earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a Business Focus in 1997 and a Master’s of Business Administration degree in 2000 from Texas State University. He is also a graduate of the 2010 Texas Fiscal Officers Academy.
Functions and Duties:
Fiscal and Staff Services is responsible for the financial health of the Commission and the training and management of the Commission's human resources.
